About Lily Woon

Lily has 5-6 years of postnatal care experience and is very popular with many mummies. She is communicative and polite. She does her best to accommodate the needs and diet of new moms as much as possible. She is a great companion and always supports new mothers, cares for their newborns, and strives to teach them how to cope with breastfeeding.

Throughout the confinement period, Lily puts babies in priority, providing moms and dads with excellent care and support to ensure a smooth first month with their newborn. To ensure the baby’s well being, she keeps the baby’s feeding times regular and keeps the baby clean at all times. She also makes sure her surroundings are always kept clean. Lily takes the lead in educating and supporting the first time parents, especially in addressing the nocturnal sleep habits of newborns.

She loves to cook, so she tries to prepare delicious and nutritious postpartum food that suits the new mom's tastes/personal diet.

Lily enjoys her time caring for newborns and helping new mothers with postpartum care. She always strives to provide her parents with the best possible care and support.

She will request for a 2hour non-disturbed resting time daily which will be discussed during interview.

I would highly recommend any mummy-to-be or mummy to engage Lily as her confinement nanny. We are super lucky to have her for our 42days of confinement.

On the first day of work, she quickly jotted down the things needed after going through what we had and get hb to help in getting those things needed while she prepared to welcome baby & I to be discharged from hospital.

Things I really liked about her:

1. her dishes! She cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner to me every single day. What I meant is, she did not prepared bread or bun. She ensured me that I get nutritious food to start the day. She also helped to cook lunch for my mother-in-law and my elder boy when he didn’t go to the school. On top of that, she would prepare dessert or supper occasionally. She would also adjust the herbs used according to my health. My whole family really miss her home-cooked food!

2. Attention to the baby! She was very gentle and careful with our newborn. She worked tirelessly to make sure baby was well-fed, clean and neat. She would carry the whole night when the baby refused to sleep.

Auntie Lily made effort to understand my dietary preference before the start of my confinement. She also constantly asks for feedback and adjust her cooking style according to my preference along the way. She is able to understand my newborn’s behaviour fast and update us promptly on any changes to my baby’;s sleeping and feeding pattern. She is also very friendly and able to get along with my family well 🙂 As a second time mum, I was able to rest and recover well. It was definitely a good choice to have her as my nanny!

3. Tidy and neat! She cleaned the kitchen and mopped the floor every time after her cooking. Things were packed nicely in fridge, sauce and condiments were placed neatly in containers. And most of all, kitchen was tidier than before.

4. She helped with house chores. Despite we had our bi-weekly helper, she helped to clean the floor and do the laundry for our family when she had time. She also helped to keep the bathroom clean.

5. Her support to breastfeeding and formula milk. She supported when I told her I wanna bf the baby but got lazy as I want to sleep more when elder kid was sick. She encouraged me to pump the milk and helped to heat up the bm in the middle of the night (despite this would take longer time compared to prepare the formula milk).

6. Great companion! She would chit chat with my mother-in-law and keep her company when she had time and this helped a lot especially my mother-in-law cannot go out thanks but no thanks to the increasing Covid cases.

There are many more but with post-natal brain, these are what I can recall. Anyway, during the whole period, she had been very accommodative to my needs and make sure I have enough rest. Our family is very sad to see her leaving.

Review for Nanny Lily Woon by Mummy Cherie

Auntie Lily or Nanny Lily is a very experienced nanny who assisted my family for one and a half month, since June 2022. Aside from the usual confinement meals, she has shared with us some of her experiences and valuable lessons learnt from working with other babies.

As I am a picky eater (don’t eat pig trotters etc), she will change the confinement menu to suit my likes such that every meal is an enjoyment for me. Both my husband and I enjoy the meals thoughtfully cooked by Auntie Lily.

In addition, she trains my husband and I on how to take care of the baby. For example, after a few weeks, the baby sleeps with us and she will train us on how to take care of baby at night.

My husband and I have formed a close relationship with Auntie Lily and we will definitely keep in contact!

Nanny Lily is fully booked for confinement services till January 2023 and is available from end of January 2023 onwards.

Aunty Lily has been a great help during my wife’s confinement period. She is very experienced and we can tell by how confident she is with our baby.

The food she cooked is well suited to our palette and we enjoyed the food she cooked throughout the confinement period.

We would like to thank her for all the advice and guidance she has given to us and taught us well on how to handle our baby. Will definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a nanny.
