Lily has 5-6 years of postnatal care experience and is very popular with many mummies. She is communicative and polite. She does her best to accommodate the needs and diet of new moms as much as possible. She is a great companion and always supports new mothers, cares for their newborns, and strives to teach them how to cope with breastfeeding.

Throughout the confinement period, Lily puts babies in priority, providing moms and dads with excellent care and support to ensure a smooth first month with their newborn. Lily takes the lead in educating and supporting the first time parents, especially in addressing the nocturnal sleep habits of newborns.

She loves to cook, so she tries to prepare delicious and nutritious postpartum food that suits the new mom's tastes/personal diet.

Just ended my confinement with Aunty Lily Woon and we are very thankful for her help during this period. She is very experienced taking care of newborn and handled my baby with patience and care. Her high standards of cleanliness and hygiene gave us a peace of mind, especially with a newborn at home. When we have any concerns/questions as new parents, she would also answer and reassure us.

Apart from taking care of baby, Aunty Lily is also a great cook who values feedback. She ensured that our preference/opinions on her cooking during the 28 days of confinement was taken into account for. All of us enjoyed her food greatly.

We are really thankful for Aunty Lily’s support during our confinement period and would highly recommend her to any parents looking for a dependable and experienced nanny.

Just ended 28 days of confinement with Aunty Lily Woon and here’s my review 🙂

Caring for baby:

Aunty Lily is experienced in caring for a newborn. As my husband and I are first time parents, she patiently demonstrated how to change diapers, bathe baby etc, and even allowed us to video the process. She also encouraged hands on practice but doesn’t impose it on us if we are not ready / too tired. Our baby didn’t like bath times initially and kept crying, however, Aunty Lily quickly found out his preferences and managed to keep him calm during most of the bath. She established a bedtime routine for baby so that hopefully he can ease into sleep at night more easily. Aunty Lily also organized the baby clothes in the drawers, the diaper changing trolley, etc. She would keep track of the usage and inform us when the stocks are low so that my husband can go purchase more in time. She was also upfront that she will not save on diapers and wipes as her priority is to keep baby clean – which I agree with. I was also impressed that she prepared cotton balls soaked in water to clean the baby’s butt as she said those are gentler on the skin. She also does baby’s laundry – and occasionally helps us with ours if she is free. In the last week, she also frequently reminded us of the tips and advice on baby care so that we will not forget after she leaves.

Confinement practices:

Aunty Lily is knowledgeable about the confinement practices and the various herbs. She noted that I had quite a bit of fluid retention at the start and added some herbs to help with diuresis. I had a few new kitchen appliances that were foreign to her, but she was able to quickly learn how to use these appliances to cook red date tea, occasional dessert soup and herbal bath. Prior to confinement, she occasionally texted me to check if I have gotten all the necessary items. She would also send me photos of products that she thinks will be useful (including herbal baths, baby stuff, and even cooking condiments). I would highly suggest good communication with Aunty Lily on what items to get to ensure a smooth confinement process. Furthermore, the elders in the family may have different ideas about confinement practices and food, so it is better to sort these differences out prior to starting confinement.

Cooking:

Aunty Lily’s cooking is great and varied. Breakfast – different types of porridge or sandwiches. Lunch – meesua soup, beehoon soup, stir fried noodles, etc. Dinner – various meat, fish, veg dishes with rice. This way, I felt that I was eating different types of food for each meal and did not get tired of confinement food the entire duration. She was tidy and kept the kitchen clean after cooking. On her first day, she also sorted the groceries in the fridge and the dried goods so that she knows what’s available for cooking. In addition, she kept aside the plastic containers of the daily herbal soups neatly so that we can use them to store food / other items. She also wiped our fridge, condiments rack and kitchen toilet before she left.

Thank you so much Aunty Lily for your help and guidance 🙂

Feel free to DM me for more info!

Just ended my confinement with Auntie Lily Woon and I have to say that she is just amazing. She is easy going, flexible, responsible, extremely hygienic and is very attentive to baby’s needs. She is sensitive to our likes and dislikes in terms of meal prep and cooking style, but still prioritises nutritional value and health effects. She would also clean up the kitchen every time after cooking. When I fell sick, she was very concerned and ensured that I was resting enough and eating well. She is also very supportive of breastfeeding and offers a lot of encouragement.

As first-time parents, she understood our difficulties and gave us the time and space to rest and adjust to the new lifestyle, and taught us how to handle baby in each situation. Furthermore, during her free time, she would help out with household chores such as hanging and keeping laundry and vacuuming the house.

I would highly recommend auntie Lily to anyone who is looking for a confinement nanny as she is very knowledgeable and experienced in handling mummies and babies. Overall, we are very grateful to have auntie Lily with us during the past one month, thank you for making my confinement such a pleasant one. 谢谢妳!

Review my confinement nanny aunty Lily Woon by LeLe mummy

I have just complete my 40 days of confinement with Aunty Lily. She is loving (爱心), patience (耐心), gentle (细心),sincere(真心) and responsible (责任心) care with my baby. I am truly grateful for her care and support during this crucial recovery period.

Hygience &; baby care

Aunty Lily maintained excellent hygiene, ensuring my baby in a clean and comfortable environment. She handled my newborn with such patience and professional, especially when showering baby, changing diapers, cleaning my baby’s poo during the night to make sure he was always clean and rash-free, giving me peace of mind.

Food

Every meal she cooked was nutritious and healthy, with less oil and salt but still very tasty. My husband and daughter loved her cooking as well. My personal favourites dishes and gonna miss now were her pork vinegar mee sua, yellow wine mee sua and 奶油鸡.

she is also prepared green apple DOM with Danggui for me to drinks before sleep which helping me feel more refreshed and regain my energy the next day as she knew I was waking up every few hours at night to pump milk. This is additional herbal soup that she cook for me in lunch & dinner.

Overall

She guides my fresh helper in baby care and cooking but sadly my helper not taking intiatives to picking thing up. When she left, helper still not able to handle baby well. Also, she gets along very well with everyone in the house and my other family, relatives visitors.

A few days before she left, we manage to go on a day trip to JB shopping as we knowing our baby was superbe care under her hand.

Lastly, thank you so much aunty Lily. Our family loves you and appreciate all your care and support. Specially thanks @ Yvonne Khoo for setting up MOT group page, making a lots of hardwork and effort to screen through confinement nannies here helping mummies found the right CN. Much appreciated!👍🏻

Had a great confinement with Aunty Lily

I’m very glad I had Aunty Lily Woon to help me with my confinement. Would recommend!

Baby

Aunty Lily was caring and gentle with my baby. She ensured that my baby was always clean and well taken care of. During diaper changes, showers, and when cleaning the umbilical cord, Aunty Lily made sure that my baby was cleaned properly and gently. My baby has grown steadily and healthily under her care.

Food

As a great cook, Aunty Lily made many different delicious dishes that my family and I enjoyed. She was able to cook less salty and less oily foods, while ensuring that the food was flavourful. With her help, I felt my strength returning within the first 1-2 weeks.

Overall

It was very easy to communicate with Aunty Lily, as she was straightforward and able to make changes to suit my preferences. I never had to worry about anything and could focus on recuperating.

Thank you Aunty Lily! ❤
